Executive Chairman of Fika Local Government Area of Yobe State, Abdul Gadaka, has commended Governor Mai Mala Buni and security agencies for their tremendous success in the ongoing war against insurgency.
Speaking to AljazirahNigeria in his home town, Gadaka, he pledged that the council would continue to support security operatives within the limit of its resources.
According to him, “Let me use this opportunity to appreciate government and security agencies for their efforts to fight bandits and kidnappers in Fika including the immeasurable contributions of the Nigerian Army and other security agencies in restoring peace and security across the state.
“I am pleased to say that the security situation has tremendously improved, and Yobe State today, is one of the most peaceful states in the country,” he said.
He also called on traditional rulers, youths and stakeholders in Fika Local Government Area to continue to give their support and maximum cooperation to security operatives in the area, in order to fight bandits and kidnappers.
The chairman, however, called on the state government to provide more patrol vehicles to Fika Local Government, particularly to policemen and vigilant groups.
He added that “I want to make my request to the governor and the Ministry for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs to get us additionally patrol vehicles, as well as Hilux vehicles.”
Gadaka commended Mala for the developmental projects across the state, which includes the construction of roads, health sector, agriculture, education, water and youth empowerment.
