Nigerian-American actress and television host Osas Ighodaro has secured a lead role in a new Nolly-Bollywood micro-drama series titled Imported Bahu, marking another international milestone in her entertainment career.

The project was officially unveiled on Monday by executive producer Hamisha Daryani Ahuja, with Ighodaro starring alongside Bollywood actor and model Rajniesh Duggall.

According to the producers, Imported Bahu is the first vertical micro-drama series from Forever 7 Entertainment and centres on themes of love, family conflict, secrets, and cultural clashes.

In a post announcing the project on Instagram, Ahuja described the series as a major creative step for the company.

“For months, we’ve been keeping a secret. Today, we’re finally sharing it. Introducing Imported Bahu — Forever 7 Entertainment’s first vertical micro-drama series. A story of love, family, secrets, and one Imported Bahu who turns everything upside down,” she wrote.

The storyline follows Bahu Mehra, the son of a wealthy Indian family who returns home from abroad, unexpectedly bringing with him a Nigerian partner, Zara Ogun, played by Ighodaro.

Zara Ogun is portrayed as a confident and successful fashion CEO who faces resistance from her partner’s traditional family after her arrival.

The series is set to premiere on July 2, 2026, exclusively on LebaraPlay, a platform described as Africa’s first telecom-owned micro-drama streaming service.

The production builds on Hamisha Daryani Ahuja’s previous cross-cultural projects, including Namaste Wahala and Postcards, which explored collaborations between Nollywood and Bollywood industries.

Ighodaro’s casting further expands her international portfolio, adding to her growing reputation in film, television, and global entertainment collaborations.
