The City Boy Movement has officially welcomed The Bridge for Renewed Hope, a youth-driven platform comprising prominent leaders and members of the former Atiku Youth Wing, into its expanding coalition of affiliate organisations and support groups dedicated to the re-election of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, in 2027.

The move represents a significant development in youth political engagement and underscores a growing alignment among young Nigerians around the ideals of the Renewed Hope Agenda, national development, economic empowerment, and the consolidation of ongoing reforms under President Tinubu’s administration.

The affiliation follows a series of strategic engagements between the leadership of both groups in Abuja, culminating in a collective decision by members of the former Atiku Youth Wing to support President Tinubu through The Bridge for Renewed Hope under the broader umbrella of the City Boy Movement.

Speaking on the development, Director-General of the City Boy Movement, Hon. Francis Oluwatosin Shoga, described the alliance as a strong indication of the increasing confidence young Nigerians have in President Tinubu’s leadership and vision for the country.

According to him, the affiliation reflects a growing commitment among Nigerian youths to place national progress above partisan considerations.

“This affiliation demonstrates that young Nigerians are increasingly prioritising national interest over political labels. The City Boy Movement was established as a platform for youth mobilisation, leadership development, and national advancement in support of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

“We warmly welcome all Nigerians who share this vision. The decision by leaders and members of the former Atiku Youth Wing to join this movement and support President Tinubu is both significant and encouraging. It reinforces our conviction that Nigeria’s future will be shaped through collaboration, unity, and a shared commitment to reform, progress, and nation-building.”

Also reacting to the development, the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Digital Communications, Engagement and New Media Strategy, and Deputy Director-General (Media, Communications and Public Affairs) of the City Boy Movement, O’tega Ogra, said the development highlights the willingness of young Nigerians to transcend political divides in pursuit of national objectives.

“Political competition is an essential part of democracy, but nation-building is a collective responsibility that goes beyond politics. What makes this development remarkable is that young Nigerians who previously operated under a different political platform have now chosen to align with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu through the City Boy Movement.

“They have found common ground in their belief in Nigeria’s future, the expansion of economic opportunities, and the successful implementation of the Renewed Hope Agenda. The City Boy Movement will continue to provide a platform where young Nigerians from every region, faith, and political background can contribute meaningfully to national development and the success of President Tinubu’s administration.”

The City Boy Movement noted that The Bridge for Renewed Hope joins a growing network of affiliate organisations working within the movement’s broader structure to deepen grassroots engagement, expand youth participation, and strengthen support for President Tinubu and the Renewed Hope Agenda across the country.

Reaffirming its commitment to inclusive youth participation, the movement stated that its doors remain open to youth organisations, professional associations, support groups, and civic platforms that share a common vision of building a stronger, safer, more prosperous, and united Nigeria under the leadership of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
