Yobe NUJ, Residents Commend Buni On Road Construction

Residents of Bade, Fika and Nangere Local Government Areas of Yobe State have commended Governor Mai Mala Buni for the construction of access roads across various parts of the state.

The residents gave the commendation in an interview with AljazirahNigeria during an inspection tour organised by the Nigeria Union of Journalists, NUJ, Yobe Council.

A resident of Tagali, Bade Local Government Area, Mallam Kakdu Kafayo, lauded the state government for constructing the10 kilometers Chumbusko to Tagali road which had made life easier for them.

According to him, “Before the construction of the road, we could hardly transport our farm produce to various markets within and outside the state.

“Now we are happy to be connected to other parts of the state,” he said.

Another resident, Malam Sama’ila Tagali, a motorist, also commended the governor and appealed for storage facilities for the preservation and storage of their produce.

The Village Head of Chukuriwa, Alhaji Mohammed Chukuriwa, also commended Governor Buni for the 16.5 kilometers road from Dawasa, Chukuriwa and Kukuri art road.

He added that the road had linked several villages along the route with the major town in Potiskum.

He also expressed appreciation to the commissioner of works who facilitated the project.

In his recommendation, the vice chairman of Fika Local Government Area said the project had linked about five wards and three local government areas of Fika, Gulani and Gujba.
