Osun State Commissioner for Rural Development and Community Affairs, Alhaji Ganiyu Olaoluwa, yesterday, called on registered voters to collect their Permanent Voter Cards, PVCs, ahead of the August 15 governorship election.
Alhaji Olaoluwa advised eligible voters to guide and protect their Permanent Voter Cards jealously.
The commissioner urged residents to treat their PVCs as if it is part of their lives and warned them not to sell it to anybody.
According to Alhaji Olaoluwa, “If you sell it or throw it away, then you are selling or throwing away food that you are supposed to eat. So, I want all of you to understand the importance of getting your PVC”.
He also noted that INEC has been educating the electorate to register for their PVCs, as there is a timeline for the electoral processes.
The Osogbo-born politician said it is a must for eligible voters in Osun Central Senatorial District and Osun State at large to collect their voter card now.
“After the collection of the PVC card, make sure you keep it properly for its real purpose”.
