FG Applauds JRB Construction Over Delivery On Abuja–Keffi Road Project

The Federal Government has commended JRB Construction Company Limited for its remarkable performance on the ongoing emergency reconstruction of the Abuja–Keffi dual carriageway.

The project, awarded in October 2025, has recorded rapid progress, earning the company praise for its speed and quality of work.

During an inspection tour of the site, the Minister of Works, Engr. Dave Umahi, expressed satisfaction with the level of execution, describing the company’s performance as exemplary. “JRB’s work is top-notch. You won’t see any difference between JRB and China Harbour, and their speed is unmatched. In fact, the speed of JRB has prompted China Harbour to speed up their own work,” he said.

Umahi also highlighted the patriotism demonstrated by the indigenous firm, noting that its commitment reflects the kind of dedication required to advance national development. “This is the kind of people that will grow this country. Be assured that Mr President is aware of what you are doing. And you are going to be paid to the last kobo,” he assured.

The Abuja–Keffi dual carriageway is a major infrastructure project aimed at easing traffic flow, improving connectivity, and reducing travel time for commuters between Abuja and Keffi. The emergency intervention is expected to be completed within four months, with a March 2026 deadline.

JRB Construction Company Limited has built a strong reputation as one of Nigeria’s leading indigenous construction firms. Its performance on this project has further reinforced its standing in the sector, showcasing its ability to deliver high-quality infrastructure comparable to international firms.

The Federal Government reiterated its commitment to supporting local contractors who demonstrate capacity, efficiency, and patriotism. According to the Minister, empowering indigenous companies is crucial to boosting economic growth and enhancing Nigeria’s self-reliance in infrastructure development.

Umahi urged other local firms to emulate JRB’s dedication and professionalism, emphasizing that the government will continue to recognize and reward indigenous companies capable of delivering world-class projects.

The recognition of JRB Construction Company Limited underscores its growing influence in Nigeria’s construction landscape and its continuing role in driving infrastructure development across the country.
