Imo ADC Inaugurates  Exco, Reaffirms Commitment To Grassroots Renewal

From CHARLES ONYEKWERE, OWERRI

African Democratic Congress, ADC, Imo State chapter, has inaugurated its newly constituted Local Government Area, LGA, executives.

The party said this is aimed at deepening its presence and strengthening grassroots structures ahead of the 2027 general elections.

The epochal event, held at the party’s  headquarters in Owerri, was presided over by the State Chairman, Professor James Okoroma and  members of the State Working Committee, SWC, of the party.

Addressing the newly sworn-in executives, Professor Okoroma urged them to see their assignment not merely as political appointments, but as a solemn call to public service – a sacred mandate to fortify the grassroots foundation upon which  ADC’s enduring vision rests.

He reminded them that ADC is more than a political platform; it is a people-centred movement founded on the timeless principles of discipline, transparency, inclusiveness and an unyielding commitment to the welfare of all.

“The future of our party rests squarely on the loyalty, resilience and vision of leaders at the grassroots. You are not just executive members; you are the living faces and frontline ambassadors of  ADC in your various areas.

“We expect from you, dedication, synergy and unalloyed faith in the mission and ideals that define our movement.”

The day’s proceedings also featured the inauguration of  Okigwe Zonal Leadership with Obinwanne Onwujuba sworn in as Zonal Chairman and Chimax Onuoha as Zonal Secretary.

Both leaders, in their acceptance remarks, pledged absolute loyalty to the party’s vision and assured stakeholders of their readiness to galvanise support, deepen grassroots mobilisation and expand ADC’s influence across the zonal and ward structures.
