Residents of Wuse zone 6 in the Abuja Municipal Area Council, AMAC, have raised the Alarm over dispense of polluted water in their area.
A resident who pleaded anonymity alleged that the water is contaminated and has led to the outbreak of water born disease with many residents falling ill.
They called on the authorities of the Federal Capital Territory, FCT, water board to urgently address the problem to avert a major outbreak of disease.
“It’s been a long time , people have been complaining, if you come to my house right now, I am looking at a bottle of contaminated water, I am going to take it to the water board, the name of their General Manager is Mr. Daniel Salga, people are complaining. I am going there to confront them and demand that he do something, people are complaining that the water is low.”
The residents further alleged that the problem of polluted water has been there for a while without being attended to by the FCT water board authorities.
