Buni Congratulates Gambo On Emergence As First Female Professor Of Pathology

Yobe State governor,  Mai Mala Buni has congratulated Dr Halima  Gambo on her promotion as a Professor of Veterinary Medicine (Pathology) by the University of Maiduguri.

Buni noted that the emergence of Gambo, as the first female Professor of Pathology in Nigeria is a great achievement that is worthy of celebration by the government and people of the state.

A statement signed by the Director-General of Press and Media Affairs to the governor, Mamman Mohammed, stated that “A distinguished scholar, teacher and researcher has indeed, accomplished her career in her chosen profession.

“The government and people of the state congratulate Professor Gambo for achieving this great feat”, he added.

The statement quoted the governor as saying that “We pray to Almighty Allah to make this promotion beneficial to her humble self, her family, Yobe State and Nigeria.” 

AljazirahNigeria reports that the professor currently holds the position of chairperson, Nigerian Veterinary Medical Association, NVMA, Borno State chapter.

She is the deputy director, University of Maiduguri Business School, UMBS, and the vice president of the Veterinary Council of Nigeria, VCN.
