Nigeria has actively participated in the 17th Ordinary Session of the African Peer Review Mechanism (APRM) Continental Consultative Committee (CCC) of National Governing Commissions (NGCs), which was held virtually.
The session brought together representatives from member states to deliberate on key governance priorities and exchange peer-learning experiences.
Organized by the APRM Continental Secretariat, the session reviewed the Draft Outcome Report of the 16th CCC meeting and offered a collaborative platform for countries to share national experiences—particularly those related to ongoing review missions and the implementation of their National Programmes of Action (NPoAs).
Representing Nigeria, the National Coordinator and Chief Executive Officer of AUDA-NEPAD/APRM Nigeria, Hon. Jabiru Salisu Abdullahi, led the Nigerian delegation.
During the session, he presented a detailed update on Nigeria’s implementation of its NPoA, emphasizing the country’s ongoing governance reforms, institutional coordination, and unwavering commitment to good governance, transparency, accountability, and sustainable development.
The CCC continues to play a vital role as a strategic forum, promoting peer learning, reinforcing national review processes, and advancing the collective goals of the African Union’s Agenda 2063.
