Kaduna Commissioner For Information Resigns

Kaduna State Commissioner for Information and member of the state Executive Council, Prof. Muhammad Sani Bello, Mainan Zazzau, has voluntarily resigned from his position.

In a letter addressed to the Secretary to the State Government, Bello stated that his resignation takes effect from July 29, 2025. 

He referenced his appointment via letter number GHIKDISI171 dated July 27, 2023, which formally inducted him as a Commissioner and Executive Council member under Governor Uba Sani’s administration.

Initially posted to the Ministry of Education, Bello served in that capacity until May 2025 when he was redeployed to lead the reintroduced Ministry of Information. 

He was tasked with piloting its establishment and operational take-off.

A seasoned professional in accounting and finance, Bello has a rich background spanning banking, financial control, academia, and public service.

He also played a significant role in the political landscape of the state, having served as the Director-General of the Kaduna State 2023 APC Campaign Council.

In his resignation letter Mainan Zazzau expressed profound gratitude to Governor Uba Sani for the confidence reposed in him and the opportunity to serve in multiple strategic capacities within the administration.
