In a move aimed at ensuring that commencement of commissioning of projects fixed for tomorrow achieve the desired success, the Minister of Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Barr. Nyesom Wike on Monday embarked on what can be considered as last minute inspection of some of the projects slated to mark the two year anniversary of the Tinubu-led Administration.

The Minister and his team carried out inspection on projects such as renovated Abuja International Conference Centre, NSIFE, road construction in Gishiri and Wassa amongst others.

Wike, while having interaction with newsmen shortly after the end of the inspection described the completion of those projects as the happiest moment of his life.

According to him: “I’m delighted to be here. We’re highly elated. First and foremost, we give thanks to God Almighty for granting us good health and the opportunity to oversee the provision of basic infrastructure. We also thank Mr. President for his support in completing this project. I can tell you that it’s one of the happiest moments of my life. At a time when people are complaining about difficulties, we’ve been able to deliver basic infrastructure to the people.

“We’ve inspected various projects, including the International Conference Center, which meets world-class standards. We’ve also visited NSIFE and seen the quality of work done by Julius Bergers Additionally, we’ve inspected the work done by CDC in Gishiri Now, we’re in onessex, and we’ll proceed to wassa to assess the quality of work.

Responding to question on how he was able to surmount the financial and bureaucratic challenges associated with projects of that magnitude, he said

“Everything revolves around leadership. When leadership sets clear goals and objectives, and is committed to achieving them, success is assured. Financial management is crucial. No one has unlimited resources, but prudent management is key.

“Bureaucracy can be a challenge, but when you communicate your vision clearly and set expectations, people understand what needs to be done. Leadership is essential. Without it, you can’t achieve anything.

“I work closely with civil servants who understand the vision and are committed to achieving it. If someone is not performing well, I take decisive action. It’s not about dictating, but about communicating and setting clear expectations.

No fewer than 17 completed major projects have been slated for commissioning starting from tomorrow 10th of June as parts of FCT Administration contribution towards the celebration of President Tinubu two years in office
