Performance Not Party Will Determine Adeleke’s Election  Victory, Says APC Member

Date:

From Richard Akintade, Osogbo

A leading security expert in Nigeria and strong member of the All Progressives Congress ,APC, in Osun State, High Chief Olalekan Jackson Ojo, has informed that there is currently no opposition party strong enough to defeat the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, as well as the incumbent, Governor Ademola Adeleke, as he would emerge victorious come 2026 gubernatorial election in Osun.

Ojo added that the sterling performance of Ademola in all sectors of the state economy, especially infrastructure would give him seamless victory over his opponents and not his political party.

Ojo was reacting to the gale of defections from the ruling Peoples Democratic Party ,PDP, in the state to the main opposition APC, the recent which was that of Member representing Obokun/Oriade Federal Constituency in the State, Hon. Oluwole Oke.

The security expert said Governor Ademola has performed beyond the expectations of many, including his traducers with unprecedented impacts across the state.

He explained that despite the monumental achievements of the Governor, he has not borrowed a dime from anywhere to fund his numerous projects yet he continues to pay workers and pensioners as and when due.

He, however, described Oluwole Oke’s defection as a mere jamboree with no adverse effects on the reelection of Governor Ademola Adeleke.

“The integral consideration by the electorate in any political environment is performance and not political party; and that is exactly what is going to play out in Osun during the governorship poll of 2026.

“Though I am a member of the APC from Imesi-Ile, but this Governor has greatly impressed me with the speed and manner he breaks unprecedented records in all sectors across the state.

“For instance, contrary to the claim of Wole Oke and his co-travellers, the impacts of his government in Obokun is uncommon, there are some areas I didn’t expect any Governor to touch even if I become Governor myself but this Governor went ahead and made it happen.

“Obviously, the Governor has written his name in gold in the sand of time and definitely history will not forget him in a jiffy, this is a man that unlike his predecessors has refused to borrow a dime and continues to perform than those that dragged Osun State into humongous debt through dubious borrowing.

“It is my utmost delight that the people of the State recognise and appreciate his great performance, the fact that played out during the Workers’ Day Celebration on May 1, that unanimous endorsement by the state’s workforce is unprecedented in the annals of Osun politics and I can assure you that personally beyond party affiliations, I will equally mobilize for the Governor to win his second term bid”, Ojo said.
