Imole Free Train ride organized by the government of Sen. Dr. Ademola Jackson Nurudeen Adeleke for the 2025 Eid-El Fitri celebration has safely returned to Lagos, after the Sallah break on Wednesday.

The passengers expressed appreciation and showered praises, encomium and prayers for the Governor and his team, for the provision of the Free Train ride and the manner he is steering the ship of Osun State.

One of the passengers who spoke with newsmen at the Nelson Mandela Freedom Park Osogbo, shortly before departure, Mr. Alexander Adesanya expressed his delight for the all-round development that is happening in the State under the leadership of Governor Adeleke.

Adesanya who enthusiastically promised to mobilise Osun indigenes to support Governor Adeleke in 2026, said Osun State has been transformed by the “dancing” Governor.

He implored Governor Adeleke and his team never to be distracted by words, actions and inactions of the naysayers. He charged him to continue his people-oriented policies and programmes for the benefits of the majority in the State.

While speaking earlier, the state Commissioner for Commerce and Industry, Rev. Bunmi Jenyo, explained that Governor Adeleke has lifted the financial burden in the transportation of Osun indegenes who reside in Lagos, Ogun and Oyo States.

According to the Commissioner, “it is not easy to be giving the people money, providing means of transportation of holiday makers from Lagos to Osogbo, free of charge will go a long way as a palliative measure to cushion the effect of economic reality on the masses”.

Rev. Jenyo charged the passengers to spread the news of their experience in Osun State, in terms of peace, infrastructure, economic stability and other democracy dividends provided by the Governor Adeleke’s administration.

“I urge you all to spread the news of the giant strides of His Excellency to our people outside the State. You are also encouraged to continue to support this administration so that the government can do more, under our amiable Governor, Asiwaju Ademola Jackson Nurudeen Adeleke”, the Commissioner said.

The train departed Osogbo as scheduled at exactly 12:00pm and is expected to convey passengers to Osogbo from Lagos as usual, in the forthcoming Easter celebration.
