Controversial Nigerian singer Speed Darlington has issued a stern message to critics following the recent termination of his legal representation. In a viral Instagram video, he declared, “My life is my content. Let nobody tell me what to post. If you are tired of supporting, get lost. I spend my own money, so keep your advice.”
This statement comes on the heels of his lawyer, Stan Alieke of Law Capitol, announcing their firm’s withdrawal from representing the artist. The decision was made public after Speed Darlington’s recent legal troubles, including arrests in 2024 related to comments about fellow musician Burna Boy.
Despite these challenges, Speed Darlington remains defiant, emphasizing his independence and commitment to his artistic expression. He also criticized Burna Boy, accusing him of hypocrisy: “Always singing about police brutality in Nigeria, yet he hires police to hold me longer.”
