Governor Ahmadu Fintiri of Adamawa State has announced a minor cabinet reshuffle to strengthen the capacity and performance of his government.
The four ministries affected by the administrative changes include information, women affairs, transportation and entrepreneurship.
A statement signed by the Chief Press Secretary to the governor, Humashi Wonosikou indicated that Neido Kufulto from Information now moves to the Ministry of Women Affairs, while Wunfe Anthony takes charge of the Ministry of Transportation.
James Iliya, former Commissioner for Entrepreneurship now assumes duty as the new Commissioner for Information, while Hamajumba Gatugel replaces Iliya as Commissioner of Entrepreneurship.
Governor Fintiri expressed confidence in the ability of his commissioners to deliver on their new responsibilities, saying “the reshuffle is designed to maximise our team’s strength and improve services to the people of Adamawa State.”
According to the statement, the governor warned against sabotage and urged the commissioners to discharge their duties diligently and work together for a seamless transition by showing dedication and commitment.
The new assignments take immediate effect.
