Ebonyi State governor, Francis Nwifuru has congratulated the four indigenes of the state who were recently elevated to the ranks of Generals in the Nigerian Army, urging them to sustain gallantry and patriotism to the protection of Nigeria’s territorial sovereignty.
Those promoted are Major- General Emmanuel Otu; Brigadier- General Igwe Omoke; Brigadier -General Ogbonnaya Igwe and Brigadier -General Charles Nwonyi.
According to the statement signed by his Chief Press Secretary, Monday Uzor and made available to newsmen, Nwifuru expressed immense pride for the dedication shown by the illustrious sons of the state which earned them national recognition.
“It is with great pride and heartfelt appreciation that I extend my warmest congratulations on your recent promotion to the rank of Generals”.
The governor said their dedication professionalism and patriotism earned them the promotion.
“This recognition is a testament to your exceptional dedication, discipline and service to our nation.
“Your unwavering commitment to duty and leadership in challenging situations, and exemplary professional standards have earned you the respect and admiration of your colleagues and the gratitude of all those you serve.
“Your promotion is not just an individual accomplishment, but a reflection of the values and strength that define our armed forces. As you step into this new role, I have no doubt that you will continue to uphold the highest standards of honour, courage and service that inspire us all”. Nwifuru said.
