Oyo APC In Unity, Working To Win 2027 Elections – Adelabu

Date:

Minister of Power, Mr  Adebayo Adelabu ,has assured that the All Progressives Congress ,APC, in Oyo State is not factionalised as being reported in a section of the media.

He gave the assurance yesterday in Abuja ,when ,in company of the newly- elected party executive in the state led by Mr Moshood Abbas, visited the party’s National Working Committee ,NWC.

The Minister said the visit was to congratulate Dr Abdullahi Ganduje, the party’s National Chairman, on  the party’s victory in the just-concluded Edo and Ondo States governorship elections.

He described Ganduje’s achievements in the party in the past year as unprecedented.

The Minister also congratulated the President for the feat and his leadership style.

Adelabu said the visit was also  to introduce and hand over the Abass-led executive to the party’s NWC.

He expressed confidence that with Ganduje’s support and guidance, the executive would achieve more in Oyo State.

He, however, blamed the failure of the APC in past elections in Oyo State on  division in the chapter, adding  that the situation was now different.

Adelabu assured that the party was  determined to take over the state in the next election.

In  his remarks, Ganduje expressed happiness that members of the party’s chapter had decided to be united, to ensure victory in future elections.

He charged  party members  in the state to think of holding a mega stakeholders’ rally in Ibadan, to address all issues.

“Oyo State is part of our blueprint .We have been looking for unity and uniformity in the state. Now we are seeing elements of unity and uniformity.

“We are concerned about the unity of Oyo State and the unity of Nigeria and the homogeneity of the South West because our 2027 is a task that must be done.

“We request you as a party in Oyo State to be active through out the year and be functional”,said  the APC national chairman said.

According to him ,it is through unity and members’ dedication that the party could win the state and  kick the ruling party out of government.

He appreciated the new executive and urged them to continue consultations, stressing that political homogeneity is the answer to keep the party in  winning ways.
