Vice chancellor, University of Calabar, Prof Florence Banku Obi has hailed the birth of the university of Calabar Graduates Elite Club, describing the new organization as the best way to give back to the development of the university.
Unveiling the association’s logo and inaugurating the pioneer executives , the VC , represented by the director, center for educational service, Prof Franscica Bassey commended the vision of the club by partnering with the institution in promoting good governance and the ideals of the university.
Prof Obi urged the new association and its executives to rise to the occasion and move the institution to the next level, commending them for remembering their Alma mater years after leaving the university .
Speaking in her welcome address, president of University of Calabar Graduates Elite Club, Dr. Chioma, lessile Uzo Udegbunam noted that the association was formed to contribute its quota to the development of the institution.
Dr Udegbunam further stated that the association is poised in addressing the challenge of governance and promote excellence as well as foster collaboration.
“In less than a year since it’s founding , this club has become a beacon of hope and a platform for transformativr dialogue. Through the vision and efforts of our dedicated members, we have begun addressing the challenge of governance by promoting excellence and fostering collaboration”
