House of Representatives Speaker, Tajudeen Abbas, yesterday, sought international cooperation in the fight against insecurity in the Sahel.
Abbas made the call known at the News Agency of Nigeria ,NAN, Inaugural Annual International Lecture in Abuja.
He said tackling the menace cannot be done alone, hence, the need the international cooperation.
“Sahel region requires international support”, he said.
The Speaker, who said that a war against insecurity should not be limited to the military power, said all hands must be on deck.
The Lecture with theme, “Insecurity in the Sahel (2008-2024): Dissecting Nigeria’s Challenges – Genesis, Impacts and Options” was conceived by the management of NAN as part of efforts to tackle the menace of insecurity in the Sahel and Nigeria.
