Former Nigerian first lady, Dame Patience Jonathan has urged the South East region to support president Bola Ahmed Tinubu to actualise his Renewed Hope Agenda .

She said that there is nothing much the present administration can achieve without the cooperation and support of Nigerians including the Igbos, adding that once election is over the winer of the election should be rallied round to deliver .

The former president of African first ladies Peace Mission noted that the country needs peace for development, warning that we cannot continue to fight and destabilize the government of the day.

Dame Patience Jonathan, fondly called Mama Peace, stated this Monday while receiving an award as Grand patron and Ada Odiriuko Na Mba of Igbo Land by the Greater Igbo Forum Worldwide in Abuja.

She urged the Igbo’s to unite as one entity to achieve the great potentials they are known for.

“Where there is no peace there is no development. When the election comes everybody has the right to campaign and contest , after election only one person will emerge and that person becomes our father , let us accept it in a peaceful atmosphere, that is the only way we can leave in peace and the country survives . Let us review ourselves and wait for next time, if you are good they will vote you in and if you are bad they will vote you out. There is no need fighting the person that has won, we cannot continue to fight ourselves.

Let’s us be careful on what we say and do. We have one country. Without supporting the government or president, there is nothing he can do . Let’s always support the government to avoid protests because bullets do not select people “
