Oyo State Government, under the leadership of has commenced the electronic payment of gratuities to retirees in the state.
According to Governor Seyi Makinde’s Social Media Team,
this innovative move is aimed at ensuring seamless, transparent, and efficient payment of benefits to retirees, thereby eliminating the need for physical collection of cheques.
“The e-payment system demonstrates Governor Makinde’s commitment to the welfare of retirees and his administration’s resolve to leverage on technology for improved service delivery.
“Some of the benefits of the e-payment system in Oyo Stats include, convenience and ease of access to funds, reduced risk of fraud and loss of cheques, faster payment processing, and enhanced transparency/accountability
“The Oyo State Government remains dedicated to prioritizing the welfare of its citizens, including retirees, and will continue to explore innovative solutions to improve their lives”.
