2025 CGC Volleyball Tournament: Customs Edge Offa Club in Five-Set Thriller

Day 6 of the 2025 CGC Volleyball Tournament produced fireworks as the Nigeria Customs Volleyball Team battled past the in-form Offa Volleyball Club of Kwara United in a thrilling five-set encounter.

The clash, held on Thursday at the Indoor Sports Hall, Package B of the Moshood Abiola National Stadium in Abuja, featured top-class action in both the men’s and women’s categories.

The unbeaten Customs side extended their winning streak to four matches, prevailing 3–2 after a hard-fought contest.

Customs opened strongly, taking the first set 25–22. Offa responded in style, edging the second set 28–26 to level the game at 1–1. The third set saw Customs regain control with a 25–20 win, but Offa struck back once again, dominating the fourth set 25–18 to force a decider.

In the final set, experience told as the Customs boys held their nerve, storming to a 15–7 victory to clinch the match.

Despite Offa Club’s spirited performance, Customs’ composure and resilience proved decisive, ensuring their unbeaten run remained intact.
