Imo State governor, Senator Hope Uzodimma has approved the immediate sack of the Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice, Cyprian Akaolisa.
A statement signed by the Commissioner for Information, Public Orientation and Strategy, Declan Emelumba, Monday, noted that the sack was with immediate effect.
Akaolisa had been directed to hand over all government property under his care to the permanent secretary in the ministry.
“The governor of Imo State has approved the sack of the Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice, Barr C .O. C Akaolisa.
“The erstwhile commissioner has been directed to hand over all government property under his care to the Solicitor-General and Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Justice, immediately,” the statement read.
AljazirahNigeria recalls that Uzodimma had on May 12, 202, sacked Akaolisa, who many people regarded as his ally.
The former attorney-general was sacked alongside 19 other commissioners when the governor dissolved his cabinet.
Uzodimma, however, recalled him about three months later.
Emelumba had announced then that the inclusion of Akaolisa among the sacked commissioners was in error.
