The committee also summoned the Rector of the Polytechnic, Dr Suleiman Umar, permanent secretary, Ministry of Education and head of the Presidential Implementation Committee, including the Academic Staff Union of Polytechnics, Non-Academic Staff Union of Educational and Associated Institutions and Senior Staff Association of Nigerian Polytechnics, Kaduna Polytechnic chapters to an investigative hearing.Â
The Head, Communications Unit of the institution, Mrs Adejoke Alaga-Ibraheem, who stated this in a statement issued yesterday in Lagos, also urged the students to take advantage of the available academic and social support programmes within the university.
He recalled that the IFAD/LIFE-ND project started since 2019 and was targeted at training and empowering about 4,250 youths in agriculture within the space of six years. He expressed delight that the organisation had successfully empowered over 3,500 so far.
