Senator Barnabas Gemade, Chairman of the APC Elders Council in Benue State, has commended the National Working Committee,NWC,of the All Progressives Congress,APC,for its timely intervention in the internal wranglings of the party in the state.
The NWC recently dissolved the state executive committee and inaugurated a caretaker committee to ensure the safety of the party.
Gemade in a statement by his Media Assistant,Solo Dzua, yesterday in Makurdi, praised the national leadership of the party, led by Dr Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, for taking bold steps to address the crisis in the Benue APC.
The APC chieftain noted that the internal wranglings had disunited the party and posed a significant threat to its existence but expressed relief that the NWC’s intervention would bring an end to the heated polity in the party and pave the way for unity and progress.
The APC Elders Council Chairman also congratulated the New Caretaker Committee, led by Benjamin Omale, and urged them to work in harmony to unite the party, emphasizing the importance of collaboration with the state leader of the party, Governor Hyacinth Alia, to achieve the desired goals.
He prayed for God’s guidance and wisdom for the committee to handle their assignment effectively.
