Benue Assembly Passes Security Trust Fund Bill Into Law

Benue State House of Assembly has passed the state Security Trust Fund Bill into law, aiming to enhance security.

The bill establishes a fund for acquiring security equipment and training personnel to address security challenges.

The Assembly also passed the Benue State Information Technology Development Agency, BITDA, Bill which seeks to promote technological advancement and digital governance.

Similarly, the House summoned the commissioner for lands and director of Lands to produce documents on land allocation to military formations, following concerns over land grabbing in Makurdi South.

The Assembly equally set up an ad-hoc committee to monitor income and expenditure of local government councils.
