FG Delivers Medical Equipment To UBTH

Chief Medical Director, CMD, of the University of Benin Teaching Hospital, UBTH, Professor Idia Ize-Iyamu has lauded President Bola Tinubu’s administration for its commitment to improve the healthcare sector.

The commendation followed the supply of healthcare equipment to the hospital, facilitated by the Federal Ministry of Health through the National Primary Healthcare Development Agency.

Professor Ize-Iyamu, who emphasised the significance of Tinubu’s ‘Renewed Hope Agenda’ and its positive impact on healthcare delivery, expressed UBTH’s gratitude for the intervention.

She noted that the equipment would greatly enhance the hospital’s capacity to provide quality maternal and neonatal services.

“We want to say we are grateful. The whole world is going to hear about this intervention. We are going to shout it because when we say thank you, we expect to get more. It is the first time we have had this at UBTH,” she stated.

The CMD assured that the newly delivered equipment would be effectively utilised to take care of maternal and neonatal health care.

Some of the equipment received from the federal government include delivery beds, anaesthetic machines, baby cots, fetal monitors/CTG Machine, fetal taco-cardiograph, theatre equipment, labor ward equipment, diathermy machines, neonatal ventilators, humidity gauge, autoclaves, centrifuge (16 and 24 buckets), blood bank, blood refrigerator, blood freezer, among others.
