Benue State governor, Reverend Father Hyacinth Alia has congratulated the Minister of Agriculture and Food Security, Senator Abubakar Kyari, on his appointment as Chairman of the 49th Governing Council of the International Fund for Agricultural Development, IFAD.
Alia, in a statement yesterday by his Technical Adviser on Media, Publicity and Strategic Communication, Solomon Iorpev, lauded Kyari’s exceptional diligence and remarkable accomplishments, describing his appointment as not only a personal achievement, but also a moment of pride for Nigeria and the African continent.
The governor pointed out that his strategic pursuit of President Bola Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda had propelled him to this global leadership position.
Governor Alia expressed confidence that under Kyari’s leadership, IFAD would achieve unprecedented heights in its mission to foster sustainable agricultural development, enhance global food security and improve the livelihoods of rural farmers worldwide.
The governor pledged to provide support to the IFAD helmsman to succeed.
