United Kingdom has rejected Nigeria’s request to transfer former Deputy President of the Senate, Senator Ike Ekweremadu to the country for completion of his nine year and eight months prison sentence after he was found guilty in 2023 of plotting to harvest kidney of a young Nigerian taken to the UK.
Consequently, Ekweremadu will remain in the UK to serve out the remainder of his sentence.
