First Lady Commissions Federal Medical Centre In Gombe

First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu commissioned the newly established Federal Medical Centre, FMC, in Kumo, Akko Local Government Area of Gombe State.

The first lady, who was joined at the event by Governor Inuwa Yahaya and the Coordinating Minister of Health and Social Welfare, Professor Ali Pate, said the medical centre represents the fruits of visionary leadership under President Bola Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda.

According to her, the facility will not only expand access to quality healthcare for the people of Gombe State and beyond, but also stand as a symbol of the federal government’s commitment to improve the lives of Nigerians.

“I believe Governor Yahaya, who has his people at heart, will continue to support our initiatives for the betterment of Nigerians, especially those at the grassroots,” she said.

The Emir of Akko, Alhaji Umar Atiku, described the commissioning of the FMC as a historic milestone that will usher in a new era of healthcare delivery in the state.

In recognition of her contributions, the emir conferred on Mrs Tinubu, the traditional title of Sarauniyar Yakin Akko.
