Abbas Salutes Etsu Nupe At 73

Federal Government has sympathised with the government and people of Borno State over the devastating flood that ravaged Maiduguri and its environs, following the unfortunate overflow of m Alau Dam.

Speaker, House of Representatives,   Tajudeen Abbas, has congratulated the Etsu Nupe, Alhaji Yahaya Abubakar, on his 73rd birthday and 22nd anniversary of his enthronement.

This was contained in a statement signed by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Mr Musa Krishi,  in Abuja, at the weekend.

Abbas, who saluted the Etsu’s leadership acumen, said   the royal father, has positive impact on the affairs of the country.

He hailed the royal father for his incredible service to the country as an officer of the Nigerian Army who retired at the enviable rank of Brigadier-General and later as Etsu Nupe, a first-class traditional leadership position in Niger State.

He noted the Etsu’s fatherly and wise counsel to political leaders in the country and commended him for being a peacemaker, bridge-builder and elder statesman uniting the country.

The speaker prayed to Allah to keep the royal father for more years in good health, while his reign will continue to record peace and prosperity for  Nupe Kingdom. NAN
