The indoor Sports Hall of Moshood Abiola National Stadium, Abuja, will once again come alive from 11–19 August as the 2025 edition of the National Volleyball League Phase One for Divisions 1 and 2 gets underway.
Organised by the Nigeria Volleyball Federation in collaboration with the Chief of Defence Staff, the tournament promises thrilling action and an opportunity for many young Nigerian players to actualise their sporting dreams.
A technical meeting is scheduled for Monday, during which fixtures will be drawn and teams will know their first opponents in what is expected to be another successful and exciting competition.
The event comes just days after Nigeria’s impressive performance at the 2025 CAVB U18 Beach Volleyball Continental Championship, which concluded on Thursday.
The nation’s female teams struck gold and silver, while the boys clinched bronze. The Gambia’s boys emerged as continental champions in a championship that showcased youthful talent, world-class organisation, and an electrifying atmosphere.
