Amidst criticisms and attacks of low performance in the last one year in the Senate by aggrieved members of his constituents , Senator representing Imo North (Okigwe ) district in the National Assembly, Sen. Patrick Ndubueze has said that no former Senator in the zone has Surpassed his achievements.

The federal lawmaker who described such criticism by the fifth columnist as frivolous, unfounded and baseless said he is committed to the development of the senatorial district, pointing out that he will not be distracted by such critiques.

Sen Ndubueze who chairs the Senate Committee on Works challenged his constituents to name any legacy projects of those who represented the area in the Senate before him, adding that in the last one year he has attracted billions of road and electricity projects to his senatorial district.

He stated that the 67 billion Naira Okigwe electricity rehabilitation project which is due for commissioning December this year is ongoing ,adding that when completed will restore electricity in Okigwe metropolis, Onuimo and it’s environs which according to him have been in darkness over fifteen years. He said ” What I am doing , nobody has tried it”

Sen Ndubueze who disclosed that he sponsored ten (10 ) graduates from different wards and local governments of his constituency to China on capacity development, noted that his passion is to bring federal presence to the area which according to him has been neglected over the years by previous representatives . ” In the past 24 years ,no body has sent even one person to Lagos for training, talk less of China”

He said ” Those who represented the zone in the past 24 years have not surpassed my records . I have opened up roads with bridges which include Ekpem – Okigwe express road, Umualemmayi, Ezinachi , Ubuaku, Uboma – Isinweke, Anara- Umuahia amongst others, those abandoned state roads which we are constructing now have suddenly become federal roads. The number of roads with bridges I put at the national budget , no senator from this zone has put it.

“No person can do the things I am doing , let them show their legacies, I challenge any senator before me let them come out with their legacies. Those who went before me in the last 24 year scale their legacies one side and my own , if it is up to 50 percent then I resign” END
