Federal government has reopened the recruitment portal for four paramilitary agencies under the Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire and Immigration Services Board, CDCFIB.
The portal was temporarily suspended due to technical issues.
However, in a statement released Monday, the board said the portal would be accessible to applicants from July 21.
CDCFIB explained that the suspension was necessary to upgrade the portal in order to manage the high volume of applications and ensure a seamless, transparent and equitable recruitment process.
“We sincerely apologise for the interruption in the application submission process. Due to the high volume of applications, it was necessary to enhance the system,” the Board said.
According to the statement, applicants who had already begun the process have been advised to return to the portal and complete their applications.
The board also addressed complaints about missing local government areas in the selection menu, assuring applicants that the issue is being resolved and updates will be made to the portal.
It reaffirmed its commitment to a merit-based recruitment process and appreciated the interest of Nigerians in joining the security and emergency services.
