From Henry Ibya, Makurdi
Special Adviser to the Ebonyi State governor on Documentation, Research and Planning, Dr Aondona Mkor will soon appear in court over alleged sextortion and cyber bullying.
Operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, Makurdi Zonal Directorate confirmed this in a statement after his arrest.
The statement signed by EFCC’s spokesperson, Dele Oyewale said Mkor was arrested on Friday, June 20 in Makurdi, following accusation by some female students of unethical and criminal behaviour involving sexual exploitation, cyber bullying and blackmail.
The petitioners alleged that Mkor was routinely recruiting slim and attractive girls for ushering jobs, while insisting on sexual favours as a condition for selection. They noted that on this basis,
they were vulnerable to having sexual affairs with him without them them knowing that he had videos of every sexual act without their consent, which he always threatened to leak if they refuse to continue having sex with him.
The governor’s aide was also alleged to be involved in blackmail, sending explicit videos of the girls recorded without their knowledge or consent through several messaging platforms.
Efforts to reach Mkor to state his own side of the story failed.
