“I have known some of the wonderful people here for a long time, and I am confident that our working relationship will remain positive.

“The Ministry of Information and National Orientation plays a crucial role in disseminating government policies and programmes. We must work as a team to deliver on our shared mandate.

“Also, there is the need to intensify efforts toward implementing key reforms under the Federal Civil Service Strategy and Implementation Plan 2025 (FCSSIP25),” he said.

Nnam noted that the ministry is currently not live on the Enterprise Content Management, ECM, platform, and stressed the urgency of aligning with the broader digital transformation goals of the civil service.

“We must rise to the occasion. The Ministry cannot lag behind while others move forward with reforms; Let us all commit to working harder and smarter to meet our targets.”

“These briefings, coordinated by the Minister of Information and National Orientation,  Alhaji Mohammed Idris, serve to highlight the administration’s achievements and engage the public.

“Preparations are in full swing for the May 29 anniversary celebration, with the National Communications Team, chaired by the Minister, holding a series of strategic meetings to ensure a successful nationwide public engagement,” Okunnu said. (NAN)
