Inferno: Ex-Sen President  Donates N27m To 3 Yobe LGAs

Former Senate President, Ahmad Lawan has donated N27 million and 300 bags of rice to victims of fire outbreaks in  three local government areas of Yobe State.

Lawan, who lamented the unfortunate incident which he said had caused significant loss and hardship to those affected, prayed for their recovery from the mishap.

According to him, the donation is aimed at complementing the efforts of the Yobe State government to provide immediate relief to the affected families and help them  recover from the devastating impact of the fire outbreak.

Our correspondent, who was at the distribution of the items, reports that Machina Local Government received N12 million and 150 bags of rice which will be distributed in Ngabarawa, Dole, Ghana and Damai communities, while Nguru Local Government will receive N5 million and 50 bags of rice to be distributed to  Askema and Mirba communities.

Also, Yusufari Local Government will get N10 million and 100 bags of rice to be distributed to Tulo-Tulo and Isufuri.

The former Senate president called on the distribution team fom his SAIL Foundation to ensure that the resources reach the intended beneficiaries in a fair and transparent manner.

Lawan assured his constituents that he would continue to work tirelessly to support them and advocate for measures that would prevent such incidents in the future.
