Alternative Bank To Partner Osun Govt On Investments, Wealth Creation

From Richard Akintade, Osogbo

Alternative Bank Limited will soon begin investment initiatives in partnership with the Osun State government to foster economic development, investment opportunities and wealth creation.

This was disclosed in Osogbo during a meeting of the bank and the management team of the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, led by the  Commissioner, Reverend Bunmi Jenyo.

The bank’s team led by the Regional Head (South West), Mrs Funmi Aberuagba also affirmed that it is prepared to contribute to the transformation agenda of the administration of Governor Ademola Adeleke.

The bank is to partner  the state government and its institutions to realise their lofty ideas and policies that are directly targeted at the upliftment of  citizens of Osun State.

The partnership which is expected to be on the basis of Public-Private-Partnership, PPP, seeks an enabling environment, ease of doing business and robust security from the state government.

Alternative Bank Limited with branches in Kano and Kaduna is determined to assist government institutions, agencies and organisations to thrive in their investment endeavours.

The bank also identified areas of interest, such as, but not limited to agriculture, renewable energy, waste management, education, health and state digitisation.

It would be recalled that  Alternative Bank  had earlier stated that “by nature of our mandate, we invest in projects and run them for profit with our stakeholders. We have identified such opportunities in Osun State and will appreciate being part of its transformational agenda”.

Responding, the commissioner said the current administration is running an open-door policy.

He, however, assured the team that the state government will create a conducive atmosphere for their intentions to materialise in the interest of the citizens of Osun State.
