A Lagos Magistrate Court has cleared singer Naira Marley, promoter Sam Larry, and Primeboy of any involvement in the death of musician Mohbad.

The court ruling, based on legal advice from the Lagos State Directorate of Public Prosecutions (DPP), found no evidence linking them to the case.

However, the court has ordered the prosecution of auxiliary nurse Feyisayo Ogedengbe and Mohbad’s friend Ayobami Sadiq for alleged negligence. The duo is set to face trial under Lagos State’s criminal law.

Mohbad’s death in September 2023 sparked a nationwide outcry, leading to multiple arrests.

With this ruling, the cleared individuals can now move on, while the legal focus shifts to those directly implicated in his medical care.
