Jigawa State Governor, Umar Namadi has reiterated his commitment to empowering the youth with skills and employment.
The Governor stated that it was central to the administration’s 12-point agenda blueprint aimed at elevating the state to greater heights.
Namadi disclosed this during the opening ceremony of the F&M Supermarket, a newly inaugurated superstore located on Malam-Madori Road in Hadejia and owned by businessman, Alhaji Sulaiman Umar Uba.
The Governor mentioned that one of the core tenets of his administration’s agenda was the provision of opportunities that equip young people with the necessary skills to thrive in today’s competitive job market.
“Empowering the youth with skills and employment is a key component of our 12-point agenda blueprint for the development of Jigawa State”, he stated.
He said the state government had initiated the establishment of palliative shops across the state for the benefit of its citizens.
“These shops aim to subsidize essential commodities while simultaneously creating job opportunities for residents. We are making concerted efforts to provide employment for our people in various fields of endeavour”, he added.
The Governor commended the establishment of the shopping mall as a commendable contribution to the community, describing it as a vital resource that will generate employment, especially for the youth.
He reaffirmed the state government’s dedication to supporting individuals and businesses that prioritise community upliftment.
