Hajj 2025: FCT Pilgrims Board Set To Distribute Traveling Materials

Federal Capital Territory Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board has said that it is ready to distribute travelling materials to all intending Pilgrims preparing to perform this year Hajj rites in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia through the Board.

The distribution, it said, will be carry out during it’s forthcoming second phase of education and orientation exercise for the intending Pilgrims at the Hajj camp in Abuja between 22nd and 23rd of this month.

This disclosure was made in a statement made available to journalists by the Public Relations Officer of the Board, Muhammad Lawal Aliyu,he disclosed that the board has secured the materials to enable the intending pilgrims prepare on time for the spiritual journey.

According to the spokesperson, items to be distributed during the exercise include Uniforms, literature and audio materials to engage the intending pilgrims to continue with the learning of Hajj rites during the fasting of the Islamic month of Ramadan.

He added that, activities for the intending pilgrims would be suspended during the fasting period to enable them have sufficient time to participate in Ramadan activities in their respective places to get hold of the benefit of the month.

He said the full preparations for the hajj would resume after the fasting to actualise the success of the operation and ensure that intending pilgrims are well prepared for the spiritual journey to the holy land of Saudi Arabia.

The Board, according to the statement explained that it is determined to ensure that intending pilgrims get the rudiments of performing hajj in order to have value for their hard-earned money paid to perform the religious obligation.

He also disclosed that, as usual, the second phase of the orientation exercise this weekend would be conducted in seven languages by Islamic scholars due to the peculiar nature of the FCT scheduled to take place from 8 o’clock in the morning each day.

“intending pilgrims who are yet to return their completed application forms or submit their international Passport should do so to enable the Board fast track the process of obtaining their travel documents in good time before the commencement of airlift to Saudi Arabia”, the statement added.
