Indonesian Ambassador’s Wife  Visits Kebbi State First Lady

Last Saturday, the First Lady of Kebbi State, Hajiya Zainab Nasir Idris, warmly received the wife of the Indonesian Ambassador to Nigeria, along with her esteemed team, for a three-day official visit to Kebbi State. 

According to a statement issued by the Special Assistant on New Media,

Office of the First Lady Kebbi State, Faisal A. Nasarawa, the visit was aimed at fostering collaboration and exploring opportunities to advance key sectors within the state.

It stressed that “Focus on Zakat and Islamic Affairs Discussions were held on ways to strengthen the Zakat system in Kebbi State, leveraging Islamic principles to improve social welfare.

“Both parties exchanged insights on how Zakat can be effectively utilized to support vulnerable communities and enhance socio-economic development”.

It added that “Given Kebbi State’s significant agricultural potential, the delegation explored partnerships aimed at enhancing agricultural productivity.

“Discussions centered around modern farming techniques, capacity-building initiatives, and potential areas for technical support and investment from Indonesia.

“The delegation also addressed the challenges and opportunities in animal husbandry. They discussed strategies to improve livestock management, veterinary services, and market access for local farmers, with a focus on boosting productivity and sustainability in the livestock sector”.

It further noted that”The visit laid a foundation for future collaboration between Kebbi State and Indonesia in these critical sectors. Both sides expressed commitment to working together to implement actionable projects that would drive economic growth and improve the livelihoods of the people of Kebbi State.

“The First Lady, Hajiya Zainab Nasir Idris, expressed her gratitude to the wife of the Indonesian Ambassador and her team for their visit and their interest in contributing to the development of Kebbi State. 

“She emphasized the state’s readiness to collaborate on initiatives that would benefit the people and promote sustainable development”.
