…urges Youth to Put Our Diversity and Work Together For Progress

The Minister of Youth Development Comrade Ayodele Olawande has expressed that ministry desire is to improve on every initiatives, innovations that will bring that will further better the life of every Nigerian youth.
This even as Minnister called on all Nigerians to prioritize the progress of the nation by setting aside their differences and working together as a united team.
He stated this on Monday in Abuja during an interactive session with media where he urged every Nigerian not be the fault finder but be the part of solution to Nigeria challenge
Comrade Olawande said the desires of the present government under leadership of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is to ensure young people thrive and have a better country
According to him enough of road map, let us hit the road, It’s time for real business whatever will project in the media.
“Let us drive solution together, we know there is problem let start looking for solution our plan now redesign all the programs and initiatives to ensure inclusiveness.
“There is not doubt there are hunger, hardship but no angel will come and fix it for us, it’s we youth that will do it that is why we are reviving all the programs and bring back to life the one that are not working to meet aspiration of Youth.
“Things must change, and we cannot continue with outdated approaches. This is the time for action and results, to ensure we can bring smiles to the faces of Nigerian youths.”
Comrade Olawande highlighted the historic nature of his appointment, noting that this is the first time a youth has been appointed Minister of Youth Development since the inception of democracy in 1999. He urged young Nigerians to support the current administration to help the youth take their rightful place in governance and national development.
He urged journalists to offer compelling, positive alternative reports that could help resonate the image of the ministry
“None of these programs can succeed without the cooperation of the media. We count on the media to provide positive and balanced coverage of the Ministry’s activities to help us achieve our mandate,”
“You must offer compelling, positive alternatives that resonate with the ministry to implement its programmes effectively. Your reporting plays a pivotal role in this endeavour.”
The minister urged the media to not yield their platforms to provide publicity for act of bringing bad image to the ministry and Nigeria at large.
He highlighted the importance of skills set for young people in Nigeria, noting that his Ministry would achieve the transformation of NYSC camps into skills acquisition centres through Public-Private-Partnership of the Government.
Recognising that not every graduate would be gainfully employed in government establishments or in the private sector, the Minister insisted that it was not enough for young Nigerians to serve the country for one year without gaining anything that could help in shaping their lives.
In his remarked, the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry, Olubunmi Olusanya, reiterated the Ministry’s commitment to transparency and inclusivity. He assured correspondents that the Ministry would operate an open-door policy to foster better collaboration and achieve its goals.
“This marks the first interactive session with the Minister since his appointment. Regular engagements like this will be prioritized to strengthen the relationship with the media,” Olusanya said.
