He Played Key Roles In Ensuring Internal Security In Nigeria, Says Alia

Benue State governor, Reverend Father Hyacinth Alia has expressed deep sadness over the passing of the Chief of Army Staff, COAS, Lieutenant-General Taoreed Lagbaja.

Governor Alia, in a massage of condolence to President Bola Tinubu, described the late army chief as someone who played key roles in ensuring internal security in the country.

Alia noted the keen interest that late Lagbaja developed in the security situation in Benue State, affirming that the state had lost a dear friend.

Recalling that the deceased worked assiduously with his administration to ensure that peace returns to the state, the governor prayed God to give his immediate family, armed forces and the entire country the fortitude to bear the great loss and also grant him eternal rest.
