Switzerland-based coach Adedeji Adeyemi said Nigeria Football Federation President Alhaji Ibrahim Gusau deserves to be reelected because, for the past 11 years, none of the past Presidents has been able to achieve what he has achieved.

Adedeji Adeyemi said he remembered when he visited the NFF President in Abuja when he was elected, and he predicted that he would do well and he will spend 8 years as NFF President, as he is gaining it step-by-step so I think the Super Eagles can make the World Cup, and he should be reelected.

Coach Adeyemi said under Ibrahim Gusau with NPFL Chairman Hon Gbenga Elegbeleye, our league has improved.

“We can now see teams winning away matches without any trouble.

“He also introduced some courses and CAF C License for our coaches, and Nigeria Referees are among the officials for the WAFU B U20 championships that will officiate, which is a good thing.

“Under Gusau, we participated in the Olympics, and also, Super Eagles got to the final of AFCON in Ivory Coast, though we couldn’t win it, which is part of the negative I can see under him, to some extent, he has done well.”

Coach Adedeji Adeyemi said: “Any coach that cannot lead our youth teams to semi-final and isn’t good enough for a country like Nigeria.”

He gave his opinion on the Super Eagles and Super Falcons vacant positions.

“The NFF President should go all out and get a good substantive coach for the Super Eagles and Super Falcons. It can be a local or foreign coach, but it must be up to the task.”
