Borno Activates Joint Operation Centre To Enhance Security

Date:

Borno State government has activated a joint operation centre for intelligence sharing among security agencies.

Commissioner for Information and Internal Security, Professor Usman Tar, made this known in a statement yesterday in Maiduguri.

Tar stated that adequate measures have been put in place to ensure the effectiveness of the centre.

According to him, part of the measures include the donation of solar panels, batteries and walkie-talkies to the police command.

The News Agency of Nigeria, NAN, reports that the centre will serve as a communication hub for coordination between security agencies to improve response time and operational efficiency. (NAN)
