Bauchi State Government has extended support to flooding communities in Borno State with the sum of N250 million with a promise to also provide 10,000 victims with two square meals daily until the situation gets to normalcy.
Governor Bala Mohammed made this known during a visit to commiserate with the Borno government over the devastating flooding incidence.
Mohammed equally said Bauchi State Emergency Management Agency, SEMA, will collaborate with Borno State humanitarian response team in providing relief services to the affected communities.
The Governor, who said the flood had caused collateral damages ranging from lost of lives and properties with deeply devastating consequences, however commended the courage and leadership qualities shown by Governor Babagana Zulum during this turbulent period.
Responding, Governor Zulum expressed gratitude to the Bauchi State government, describing the donations as effective and timely to save lives and properties.
Zulum promised to use the money effectively and judiciously with all honesty.
