Kwara Lauds Foundation’s Consistent Contribution To Educational Development

Kwara State Government at the weekend commended the Founder of  ‘Tajudeen Olesin Foundation’ Ambassador (Dr.) Ibrahim Tajudeen Olesin, for his consistent contribution to education and human capital development in the state.

Special Adviser and Counselor to Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, Alhaji Saadu Salaudeen, gave the commendation while speaking at the closing ceremony of free summer lessons and award of scholarships to outstanding students courtesy of Ambassador Tajudeen, held at Government Secondary School, Amule, Ilorin, the state capital.

“This is the 6th edition of Ambassador Tajudeen Olesin Foundation and the founder has evidently deployed resources to support primary and secondary school students through free tutoring, scholarship awards, and payment for WAEC, and JAMB registration of many students among others.

“Like we are know, the best investment is human capital development, it is about education. Investment that immortalized mankind is on education. You have heard from him on several occasions that his investment in education is to complement the efforts of our leader, the Executive Governor of Kwara State in the education sector”, he said.

Saadu, reiterated that the greatest priority of Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq in the last five years has been on education. 

“This administration investment has led to the construction, rehabilitation and remodeling of over 600 schools with Kwara State students leading on national and international competitions with positive outcomes we have recorded in primary, secondary and tertiary education.

“The message of the state government is to commend Ambassador Olesin for deploying his own resources to complement Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq’s investment in education.

“We also call on other well meaning citizens of the state to emulate Ambassador Olesin by prioritizing education”.

Also lauding Ambassador Olesin, the former Vice-Chancellor of the University of Ilorin and current Pro-Chancellor and Chairman of the Council of Kwara State University, Malete, Professor AbdulGaniyu Ambali, said he is a worthy character that deserves emulation in many standards. 

“His contribution to education deserves commendation and emulation by other well-meaning individuals.

“Government alone cannot shoulder the responsibility of education sector but with the philanthropic gesture of people like Ambassador Tajudeen Olesin, much gap would be bridged”.

The educationist, however, urged the beneficiary’s students to make good use of the knowledge gained during the period.

Earlier in his speech, Ambassador Tajudeen, stated that the foundation had given scholarship awards to many students and made significant contributions to community development in the area of infrastructure and commerce over the years. 

The closing ceremony was witnessed by notable personalities in the state and beyond including a member of Kwara State House of Assembly, Hon Yinusa Oniboki: a Permanent Secretary in the state civil service, Alhaji Abdulganiyu Yitta; the Mutawali of Ilorin, Dr Alimi AbdulRazaq; Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq Aides; Alhaji Bashir Adigun, Abdulwasiu Onidugbe, Non-Executive Director of NNPCL, Dr Ghali Alaaya.

Spiritual and traditional fathers; Chief Imam of Ilorin, Alhaji Dr Muhammad Bashir Soliu, Ajanasi Agba of Ilorin, Dr Mujitaba Bature; Alangua Ibagun and other personalities numerous to mention.
