Borno State governor, Babagana Zulum has donated N30 million to the family of a senior military officer who was killed during an attack in Damboa Local Government Area by suspected Boko Haram insurgents.
Governor Zulum, who disclosed this when he received the theatre commander of Sector 2 task force, expressed condolences to the family, saying the loss of their loved one was irreparable and that the late officer died a hero, having dedicated his life to protecting the people.
The governor also stated that the government and the people of Borno State are indebted to the officer’s patriotism.
He also assured them of government’s continued support during this difficult time.
